Jack Green, age 68, of Slinger, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017. He was born on November 15, 1948, to parents Robert and Betty (VanKoughnet) Green in Fayetteville, NC. He graduated from Argentine High School in Kansas City, KS, went on to join the Navy, and became a SeaBee in the Vietnam Conflict after high school. His first marriage was to Terri Wagner with whom he had 3 children. His second marriage was to Linda Arndt. He retired from John Deere. Jack had a love for animals, especially dogs and birds. He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger days, and watching it, as well as football. He liked talking about the games with his son, brother and sister. He always helped people in need and was the most generous person many people knew. Jack is survived by his wife, Linda Green. He had three children from his first marriage; son, Shawn Green; daughters, Kelly Green and Katie (Mike) Waln. Jack is also survived by two brothers, Bob (Jeanie) Green and David (Linda) Green; one sister, Brenda Clark; two granddaughters and three grandsons. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Terri Green. Memorial service for Jack will be held at Northbrook Church, 4014 Hwy 167, Richfield on Saturday, June 3 at 2:00pm. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church from 12 noon until the time of the service.
